Join the team

We are always happy to hear from enthusiastic, ambitious, hardworking students and researchers who are interested in bringing their ideas to the lab and learning about the beauty of spiral cleavage and marine invertebrates.

If you are interested in joining the group, contact us to discuss potential projects and funding.

2-year ERC-funded Postdoctoral Researcher

Epigenomics of annelid development

We have an open ERC-funded postdoctoral position to study the epigenetic control of early spiral cleavage. The project will involve the use of annelid species, combining RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, and other epigenomic approaches (e.g. ATAC-seq). QMUL-funded PHD studentship

DNA methylation during spiral cleavage

In collaboration with Dr Rob Lowe at Blizard Institute (QMUL), we have an open PhD studentship to characterise the role of DNA methylation during early spiral cleavage. If you’re interested and want to know more, don’t hesitate to contact Chema directly at chema.martin@qmul.ac.uk

QMUL-funded PHD studentship

Comparative annelid eco-evo genomics

In collaboration with Dr Lee Henry and Dr Yannick Wurm at School of Biological and Chemical Sciences (QMUL), we have an open PhD studentship to study the genomic basis of bacterial symbiosis in deep-sea annelids.
